- The City Council discussed upcoming budget needs for the city, including requests from the Police Department, Fire Department, Cemetery, and Public Works. Laurie Millam presented the library’s budget requests to the council. The City Clerk reported that the rescue department’s budget request, which was given two weeks ago, has not yet been received. The Clerk also reviewed the projected insurance increase, based on figures and percentage information provided by the insurance agency. A follow-up budget meeting is scheduled to take place February 16th at 5:30pm.
