Whether you’re a resident or just visiting, Lowden has plenty of ways to get active, have fun, and enjoy the community. From outdoor recreation to local hangouts, there’s something for everyone.

Lowden Memorial Park

Developed in honor of the community’s veterans, Lowden Memorial Park spans 17 acres in the northwest corner of the city. For more than 60 years, it has served as a hub of community activity.

The park features baseball and softballball diamonds with Musco lights.Throughout the years, Lowden Memorial Park became the site for the Lowden Indies, a semi-pro baseball team, and currently is home to North Cedar High School's baseball and softball teams.

Hours: 9:00am to DuskOpens Memorial Day weekend until it gets too cold.

Disc Golf Course

Think of it like golf, but with frisbees! Players aim to throw a disc into a series of baskets in as few throws as possible. It’s fun for all ages and a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

RC Park

Park Shelter Reservations

Two enclosed shelters are available for rent from April 1 — October 31 (weather permitting). Each enclosed shelter includes electricity, water, refrigerator, tables, and chairs.

3/30 Golf & Country Club

Located on the east edge of the city, the 3/30 Golf & Country Club is privately owned and features a nine-hole golf course along with a clubhouse and facilities available for use.Dining is open to the public. The pool is also used for Red Cross swim lessons, which are also available to the public. The public may swim for a fee. Non-members may golf for a fee.
